-India and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank have signed a $ 500 million project to improve healthcare preparedness.

-The National Green Tribunal has directed the Delhi Water Board to ban the illegal extraction of ground water for commercial use.

-The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended most labor laws for the next three years. For this, the government has issued an ordinance. The state government has said that this has been done to promote industrial investment and to provide employment to a large number of migrant laborers.

-Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Pravasi Rahat Mitra App. The purpose of this app is to help migrant citizens coming to Uttar Pradesh from other states to take advantage of government scheme, monitor their health and provide jobs and livelihood especially in future for their skills. For this, the data collection of these migrant citizens will be done through the app.

-Worldwide, Kovid-19 vaccine is under construction. Scientists in Italy have developed a vaccine that has produced antibodies in mice. These antibodies can prevent the virus from spreading to the infected cells of humans.

-Yes Bank said that it has appointed Neeraj Dhawan as its Chief Risk Officer with immediate effect. On May 1, 2020, Neeraj Dhawan has been appointed the Chief Risk Officer of the bank for three years.

-Recently the Supreme Court in its landmark judgment has stated that the Sarfaesi Act i.e. ‘Securization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act’, 2002 Will also apply to cooperative banks.

-The Department of Posts has tied up with the Indian Council of Medical Research to provide kits to 200 laboratories for testing corona in the country.

-The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) paid Rs 12,767 crore to state cooperative banks and regional rural banks (RRBs) across the country to increase their resources for lending to farmers during the lockout.

-The Coir Board has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology-Madras to set up a Center of Excellence just for the application of coconut fibers or a combination of other natural fibers.
